Mark Voegeli, Director of Mountain Operations

Born in Americas dairy land Mark’s strong work ethic was derived spending summers at his family’s dairy/pig farm in Iowa and taking care of the family owned “hobby farm” in Wisconsin. Skiing came into the picture early on in Mark’s life and racing for the High School Ski Team quickly followed. His first ski trip to Colorado happened in the mid-eighties and once he was through with school, a trip to Gunnison to visit a few high school buddies at Western State changed his life for good. After a three week vacation skiing CB while living in the dorms at Western Mark knew he was ready to make the move out to Colorado that summer. After moving to Gunnison County straight from the farmhouse bedroom he grew up in - a new life began. His career with CBMR’s Mountain Operations started in his second year of living in Gunnison County (1992) and Mark has been working his way towards his Director role since. Mark lives and works in one of the greatest places on the planet and shares the experience with his wife and two daughters. In his free time, when not spending time with his family or riding his bike, he volunteers as an Assistant Fire Chief for the Crested Butte Fire Protection District.
